A COMPLETE AND UTTER FABRICATION, BASED ON A TRUE STORY
TO THE TUNE OF THE THEME RAP TO THE NBC PRIME TIME SITCOM "THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR"
Now this is a story all about How my life got flipped turned inside out Now I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, an' I'll tell you why they call me DJ Jazzy Jeff Aaron In uptown Toronto I was born and raised But in high school's where I spent most of my days I went to school, went to class, went home, and did work I was acting really shy, like some kinda jerk When a couple o' guys, they were up to no good Lent me a copy of Boyz 'n' the Hood I watched it one little time and my mom had fear She said "don't you play music like that around here!" So I started buying music: rock, funk, soul, and pop Techno, rap, reggae, downtown, and hip hop I couldn't play it at home, so I played it at school In the halls, in the classrooms, and even the pool Now all the best parties have to have me there To keep the jam kickin'; keep the tunes in the air So with pride and with joy, I could finally say That I made it on my own as the school's DJ
